Terms of Service
Juna is built on the belief that your daily life is worth remembering and worth sharing — with the right people. These terms exist to protect that experience for everyone using the app.
Effective date: March 11, 2026 · App: Juna · Website: junaapp.comWhat Juna is
Juna is a personal social journaling app. It lets you log your day, see how your close friends are doing, and build a private record of your life over time. It is not a public social media platform. There are no public profiles, no follower counts, no algorithmic feeds, and no way for strangers to find your content.
By using Juna, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
Who can use Juna
You must be at least 12 years old to create a Juna account. The app includes social features — sharing entries with friends, reacting to their days — and we want to make sure those features are used responsibly.
By creating an account, you confirm that you're 12 or older and that you have the legal capacity to agree to these terms. If you're under 18, we encourage you to review these terms with a parent or guardian.
Your content belongs to you
Everything you create in Juna — your written entries, your mood data, your photos, your voice memos, your videos — belongs to you. Juna does not claim ownership over your content.
By uploading content to Juna, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store and display that content for the purpose of running the app. We use it to show your entries to your accepted friends (and only your accepted friends). We don't use your content for any other purpose — not for training AI models, not for advertising, not for anything else.
How to use Juna
Juna is a space for honest, personal reflection shared with people you trust. We ask that you use it that way. The following are not allowed:
- Harassing, threatening, or bullying other users.
- Posting illegal content of any kind, including content that exploits minors.
- Impersonating another person or creating a misleading account.
- Using Juna to send spam or unsolicited messages.
- Attempting to access another user's account or data without permission.
- Using the app in any way that violates applicable law.
Juna is private by design, but that doesn't make it a consequence-free zone. If you use it to harm others, we will act.
Account termination
You can delete your account at any time from within app settings. All of your data will be permanently removed.
Juna reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, that we believe are being used for harmful purposes, or that have been inactive for an extended period. We'll try to give you notice before taking action unless the situation requires otherwise (for example, in cases of serious harm or illegal activity).
Entry locking — a note
Juna is built around the idea that your past is worth preserving as it actually happened. The locking mechanism is a core design decision, not a limitation or a bug. When you log an entry, you're creating a permanent record of that moment. We think that's meaningful.
Before you post, make sure you're comfortable with what you've written. You'll have until the end of the day to make changes.
Juna+ (Premium subscription)
Juna offers a premium subscription called Juna+. It is not yet active, but these terms are in place for when it launches.
Juna+ will unlock additional features including voice memos, video attachments, and other capabilities to be announced. Pricing will be displayed clearly in the app before you subscribe.
Billing. Juna+ is billed through Apple's in-app purchase system. Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
Cancellation. You can cancel your Juna+ subscription at any time through your Apple ID subscription management settings (Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iPhone). Cancelling stops future charges; you'll retain access to Juna+ features until the end of the current billing period.
Refunds. Refund requests are handled by Apple, not by Juna. Contact Apple Support if you believe you were charged in error.
We reserve the right to change the features included in Juna+ or adjust pricing with reasonable notice to subscribers.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
Juna is provided "as is" and "as available." We're a small team building something we genuinely care about, but we can't guarantee the app will be available at all times, error-free, or perfectly suited to your needs.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Juna and its developers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app — including loss of data, loss of access, or any harm resulting from content posted by other users.
We do our best to protect your data and keep the app running well. But please don't use Juna as your only backup for important memories — keep your own copies of things that matter to you.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we'll notify you through the app before the changes take effect. If you continue using Juna after that notice, you're agreeing to the updated terms. The effective date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
If a change is significant and you disagree with it, you can always delete your account before the new terms take effect.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from your use of Juna will be handled under U.S. law.
